The iOS App is widely utilized in speech therapy, particularly with young children (aged 0-3 years), as well as with individuals diagnosed with autism and stroke patients.

Bla Bla Bla is a sound-reactive application designed for iPhone and iPad. The concept behind this app originates from an exercise known as “Parametric Mask.” This exercise was initially introduced during a workshop conducted in December 2010 at the design department of IUAV in Venice. Following its success, a similar workshop was organized in February 2011 at the ISIA of Urbino.

The objective of the workshop, titled “Procedures of Basic Design,” was to move beyond traditional exercises related to shapes and perception commonly found in Basic Design courses. These innovative exercises introduced participants to the application of a programming language as a problem-solving tool, emphasizing the use of numbers, mathematics, and logic to objectively address design challenges. Notably, the workshop did not center on programming itself; instead, it emphasized using the language as a strategic tool. The workshop was designed for first-year students without any prior coding experience, utilizing Processing as the language for workshop activities. The iOS adaptation was coded using Open Frameworks.
